Jisu Jung Chamber Group
The journey of the Jisu Jung Chamber Group began with "Jisu's Perspective," a performance organized
by the CJ Cultural Foundation in 2022. Exploring a fusion of jazz and classical genres, the ensemble
introduced Jisu Jung's debut-winning piece, "Moment to Journey," which earned acclaim at the Ravinia Festival's
Bridges International Composition Competition and performed at World Premiere Bennett Golden Hall in Chicago, U.S.
This composition was prominently featured in their first album "[Who am I]," released by September 2023 in New York.
Following the album's release, the group held showcase and participated in several invitational performances in New York.
The group recently completed another showcase titled "Jisu's Perspective II" at CJ Azit Hall Seoul Korea.
The piece [Moment to Journey] from Jisu Jung Chamber Group has been selected again by the Ravinia Steans
Institution and planned to perform at National Sawdust in New York April 16th. Jisu Jung Chamber Group presents
a fusion of jazz standards and original compositions with a contemporary flair. Their performances strike
a harmonious balance between jazz and classical musicianship, showcasing Jisu Jung's musical evolution and identity.
Through their unique language, they captivate audiences and are poised to awaken new sensibilities as an ensemble.
Baroque in Blue showcases her signature integration of classical and jazz
influences. The album weaves together the spirit of Baroque music with
the soul of jazz, striking a delicate balance between precision and spontaneity.
It is both structured and improvisatory, disciplined yet free, embodying the
tension and harmony between two musical worlds. Featuring an ensemble that
bridges classical and jazz traditions, Baroque in Blue offers a fresh and
immersive listening experience, achieving a seamless fusion of form and freedom.
The duo JihyeJisu was formed in 2020 by traditional percussionist
